Jessie is a Rottweiler, a restricted breed here in Ireland. Although she is just a year and a half, Jessie is incredibly well-behaved. Socialisation is so important for all breeds and Jessie is well used to hanging out with her four-pawed friends at the Dublin SPCA doggie daycare. Because she is so obedient, the trainers there will even call Jessie over to set an example for other dogs in behaviour training. Jessie has a beautiful bond with her little human sister; they are so gentle with one another, showing lots of love and affection and although weighing well over double, Jessie appears totally aware of her size and is fully in control of how to handle herself. The aim of The Restricted Project is to give people a chance to see these restricted breeds in a positive light and hopefully make people think twice before discriminating against them. This is Jessie, a gentle and playful soul who is just as much a people’s dog as she is a dog’s dog (a perfect all-rounder). So if you see Jessie in the park, please don’t pull your dog away from her, she has nothing but love to give to the world.
